Dr. Stuart Usdan
Dr. Stuart Usdan is currently a Full Professor in the Department of Health Science at UA and coordinator for the joint doctoral program in Health Education and Health Promotion. This is Dr. Usdan’s 12th year at UA and also serves as Senior Associate Dean in the College of Human Environmental Sciences. In his administrative role for the college, Dr. Usdan provides leadership to advance the research mission of the college and coordinate the graduate programs. Dr. Usdan’s specific research interests include substance abuse prevention, alcohol assessment and measurement, and internet-based interventions and he has co-authored papers in such journals as the Journal of American College Health, Addictive Behaviors and the Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Other Drugs. His recent research projects have been funded by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism and the U.S. Department of Education.
